October walk
21 members and Dillon met in the car park and set off under dark clouds which threatened rain! But Lo, 15 minutes later the sun came out and it remained bright and warm for the whole walk!
The Forestry Commission were tree felling in Parkhill Enclosure and we had a bit of a challenge negotiating the slippery wheel ruts churned up by the heavy machinery for about 200 metres - all good fun with no mishaps!
Dave recorded the group's progress with several photo calls en-route, and we walked the Frohawk Butterfly Ride on the way back, a feature we did about 2 years ago!
I got the impression everyone thoroughly enjoyed the walk in the sunshine on fairly level terrain and some members even spotted the odd deer in the ancient woodlands.
Regards Dave.
